本专辑是Grand Piano旗下亚美尼亚钢琴音乐的重要作品。科密塔斯是最先接受古典西方音乐训练的亚美尼亚音乐家之一，同时他也在柏林学习民族音乐创作。科米塔斯从事创作、收集民歌、研究亚美尼亚音乐，并进行演出、教学。他用西式的音乐训练为亚美尼亚音乐找到了新的出路。《The Seven Dances for Piano》再现了亚美尼亚乐器特有的音色；《Msho-Shoror》是最古老的亚美尼亚舞曲之一；《水鹤》是他自己最满意的作品。
